Thailand Pavilion Officially Inaugurated At Global Village

Global Village, a member of Tatweer and the region’s entertainment, shopping, and cultural attraction located in Dubailand, recently witnessed the inauguration of the Thailand Pavilion.
The official opening of the pavilion kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony presided by Consul General of Thailand in Dubai, H.E. Pasant Thepruk, and attended by officials of the Consulate of Thailand in Dubai, members of the Tourism Authority of Thailand in Dubai headed by Mr. Pramoth Supyen, senior management of Global Village, headed by Project Director Saeed Ali Bin Redha, President of Karam Group, Mr. Gubush Karam Ali, members of the press, organizing committee headed by Mr. Akavut Lusol Wong, exhibitors and other special guests.
During the special occasion, Consul General Pasant Thepruk commented: “We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Global Village for the privilege of promoting the products and culture of Thailand to millions of its visitors. Over the years of taking part in Global Village, the Thailand Pavilion has always experienced great success. There has been a special bond among our merchants from Thailand and the people that visited Global Village where our products, especially ethnic food and fruits, have been well received by all visitors. We hope that this relationship will be encouraged with more exhibitors in the future.”
The Thailand Pavilion hosts a total of 80 shops that showcase a wide range of products and services. Food stalls offering authentic Thai food and fresh fruits, and stalls providing Thai massage and quick spa services are a big hit. Other stalls sell perfumes, clothes, colourful accessories and handbags, jewelleries, home decors and much more. Additionally, performances of classical Thai dances are free for viewing in the culture stage within the pavilion.
The best way to get to Thailand Pavilion is through Gate 5 of Global Village. It is placed between the Qatar and Sri Lanka pavilions, and opposite the Turkey pavilion.
Etisalat is the official partner of the 14th edition of Global Village. Doors open at 4pm in the afternoon until midnight except on Thursdays and Fridays when it is extended until 1am in the morning. Mondays are allotted for families only. Tickets are priced at AED 10 each. For the disabled and kids below three years old, entrance is free.
